The basics
What is an associated provider?
An associated provider delivers Support at Home services on behalf of a registered provider, under an arrangement with them. You don’t have to be a registered provider yourself.
The registered provider remains responsible for the quality and safety of the services you deliver, and must oversee them. That’s why they’ll ask you for clear invoices and good records.
Everything in one place
Three things you need
Client Fee for Service
Claim-ready invoices
Record the services you deliver and send the registered provider a clear invoice they can claim from. Less re-keying, less back-and-forth.
See invoicing →Quality Management System
Quality records
Incidents, risks, complaints and worker checks, all in one place. Ready when the registered provider asks.

Your own account
Your clients, staff, appointments and notes stay in your own Comm.care account, separate from the registered provider’s systems.

How billing works
Four steps. You do your part once, and the registered provider gets an invoice it can work with.
- 1
You deliver
Your team delivers the service to the older person, as agreed with the registered provider.
- 2
You record it
Log what was delivered in your own Comm.care account.
- 3
You send a clear invoice
Comm.care turns those records into an invoice for the registered provider, line by line.
- 4
They claim
The registered provider makes the claim, and pays you under your arrangement.
Be ready
What the registered provider will ask of you
The registered provider has to oversee the services you deliver. In practice, that means questions about your workers and your records.
Having the answers in one place makes those conversations shorter, and makes you an easier partner to work with.
See how the QMS keeps these records →Worker screening
Your workers are aged care workers of the registered provider, so expect to show they’re screened and suitably trained.
The Aged Care Code of Conduct
Your workers must follow the Code of Conduct. Expect to be asked how you make sure they know it.
Incident records
Expect the registered provider to want to know about incidents quickly, and to see what you recorded.
Complaint records
Expect to share complaints about the services you deliver, and what you did about them.
Risk management
Expect questions about the risks in the services you deliver, and how you manage them.
